Egypt or Syria. Stone paste hexagonal tile. The off-white ground painted with two intersecting triangles to form a six-pointed star with subsidiary dot and vine motifs. The center having a Chinese inspired flower design surrounded by scroll and vine. Early 15th century 7.5 in. diameter {19 cm.} c.f. Ettinghausen, R.
