Part II Tile 14. Syria {Damascus} A rectangular stone paste border tile, underglaze painted in shades of cobalt blue, green and manganese . A series of pale blue-gray serrated saz leaves containing cloud bands against a blue ground are intertwined with split-leaf palmettes reserved in white and painted in green and rosettes.
