Syria {Damascus}
A square stone paste tile painted in underglaze cobalt blue, sage green, turquoise and manganese purple, outlined in black on a white ground. The design consisting of ogival cartouches containing arabesques and palmettes, carnations, tulips and pomegranates all joined by sage green foliage.
